St. Edward's Welcomes Back
Keith Raymond
When the Sligo Hurlers visited our school on Wednesday 29th April, during Active School Week, the pupils and staff had a special welcome for one player in particular Keith Raymond. Keith is a past pupil of the school, and had words of encouragement for all the pupils.
He told them that he remembered doing PE in the same hall and that he won his 1st trophy in 6th class in St. Edward's NS. He brought the trophy to show them.
Keith holds the trophy he won in 6th class and the Nicky Rackard Cup he won with the Sligo Hurling Team

He encouraged all the children to get outside and play in the evenings after they finish their homework. "All sport and games are good, but you have to practice!" he said.
We wish Keith and the team the best of luck in their up-coming games, and thank them for their time and positive messages to the pupils.
