Dear Parents/Guardians

Important Reminders
Junior and Senior Infants should be walked by parents/guardians to the school yard in the morning, where they will be collected from their line by their teacher. At home-time, parents/guardians must collect them from the yard also. Older pupils are permitted to walk to the school gateways, where parents keep safety issues in mind, when they collect.
Drive slowly in the entrance to the car park nearest the school
Drive out the exit nearest the church.
Park up past the Famine Graveyard gate.
Park reversed to the wall so that you have a clear view when moving.
Watch out for children walking in the car park.
School Books:
Please pay for your school books as soon as possible, as books cannot be given if there is no arrangement made for payment.
Junior Infants to 2nd Class buy their books
Junior Infants - €65.00 Senior Infants - €65.00
1st Class - €75.00 2nd Class - €75.00
3rd Class to 6th Class rent their books from the school at a cost of €70.00
School Lunches: Carambolakidz will provide lunch for every child in St. Edward's NS, starting Wednesday 1st September. There is no charge for this lunch.
Every child will receive a sandwich, piece of fruit and a drink.
Later, children (with your help) can choose their lunches, but for the first week Carambola will send a lunch for every child to try.
Naturally, if you still want to provide lunch for your child, you may opt out of this scheme. See their website Carambolakidz.com
School Bus: Bus Eireann will get back to us next week regarding the afternoon bus route. 95c.
School Closing Times: Junior and Senior Infants will go home at 12noon from Wednesday 1st September to Friday 10th September. All other classes go home at 2.30pm from Wednesday 1st.
Contact Details: Please make sure we have your up to date mobile number and contact details, so that we are able to contact you by text message or in an emergency.
Late Arrival at School: Starting now, September 2010, children who arrive in school after their class has started must sign in, with their parent, at the office, as we need to check what subjects pupils are missing. Arriving on time is important.
