First Whole School Assembly of the Year

On Wednesday 8th of September all the pupils, teachers and staff met for a whole school assembly.
All the new infants and pupils were welcomed to our school.
The Principal, Mrs Mc Gowan asked for volunteers to help build a school. Rebecca and Dean put on their yellow hard hats and placed blocks on top of the table. We had to think of words beginning with the letters on the blocks that would build a good school. The letters spelled LEARNING and that is what school is all about.
Then Mr Maye gave the Third Class and the new boys and girls in the senior classes their SELECT Team name and theyjoined their team. The Benbulben Braves are getting their prize for winning last term, some day soon. It will be a surprise, so we did not get any hints about it.
We all prayed together for a happy and healthy year at school.
