National Walk to School Day

National Walk to School Day was on Wednesday May 19th. We had three Walking Buses in our school.
The first bus came from Glenard and they were accompanied by Angela Doohan the All-Ireland winning ladies football captain.

The second bus came from The Woodlands and were accompanied by Keith O'Dwyer PRO of Sligo Rovers.
GAA Captain Charlie Harrison and Sligo Rovers Captain Conor O'Grady walked with the group from the North Side.

90 to 100 children took part with great support from parent volunteers. Imelda Ryan Jones from An Taisce was there to encourage children to take part in the walking bus. The walking bus runs every Wednesday morning during Summer term and all are welcome.
