St. Edward's National School Sligo

Our Annual Sponsored Walk and Barbeque

We held our annual Sponsored Walk on Sunday 13th June.
After the walk we had our Fáilte Festival, where parents and friends were welcomed to our school.

There was a display of our work in the hall.
Food was sponsored by Abby Foods and staff from The Clarion Hotel managed the barbecue. All the organising committee made sandwiches.

We had 2 bouncy castles and novelty races. Gerry the clown provided great entertainment and our DJ played wonderful music and created a real party atmosphere. There was a huge demand for face-painting.

All the pupils agree that the Home School Association do a brilliant job organising the Fáilte Festival in our school every year.
Money raised from the Sponsored Walk will be spent on continually improving the facilities and resources in St. Edward's NS.
Their motto is:
